The Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek is thought to be as an ideal trekking in the far eastern part of Nepal. Actually, Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trail was opened in 1988 for all trekkers. And the route for this trek is little bit stretched in comparison to the rest trekking routes in Nepal. However, this trail is still the rewarding one. Nepal Kanchenjunga Base Camp trekking trail follows deeply into the remote Himalayan ranges. Well, you will be able to explore the beautiful area around Mount Kanchenjunga during this trek.

Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon arriving in Kathmandu (Tribhuvan International Airport),  Our  representative will meet you and help you transfer to your hotel by private bus. Enjoy a free evening to explore Kathmandu and recover from your jet-lag. Meet our  staff during a short pre-tour briefing before dinner.

Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing and preparation for the trip
A full-day guided tour around Kathmandu city's historical and cultural landmarks. Visit Bouddhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple, the most important sites of Buddhism and Hinduism in Nepal. Catch the playful antics of the monkeys and beautiful city views at Swayambunath temple. Get lost in Kathmandu's old city bazaars, public squares, and former royal palaces at Durbar Square. 

Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur
Today, we will take a flight from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur. And, in the afternoon, we will visit the city. We will stay overnight at hotel.

Day 04: Drive to Ilam
Today, after taking our morning breakfast, we take a flight to Shuketar. And from Shuketar, we start your trek from where we descend to Mitlung. Well, en route, we cross the Hungdewa Khola and the ragingTamur River. We will stay overnight at camp at Mitlung.

Day 05: Trek from Mitlung to Chirwa (1640m)
Well this day, we start our trek ascending the hill for some time. After that, we descend to the Sinwa village and continue our walk to Tawa. Then, after some hour of walking uphill and downhill, we reach Chirwa which is a small Limbu village. We will stay overnight at our campsite. 

Day 06: Trek from Chirwa to Sekathum (1640m)
This day also, we walk uphill for some time and descend to the lush green vegetation. Then, we follow the Tamur River to the OlangChungGola, the entry point of Kanchenjunga National Park. Shortly after that, we reach Sekathum where we will set up our camp. We will stay overnight at our campsite. 

Day 07: Trek from Sekathum to Amjilosa (2490m)
This day is rather tough day. We cross the river and ascend on the steep path and then descend to another side and cross the river again. We walk uphill and downhill and finally we reach Amjilosa. We will stay overnight at our campsite. 

Day 08: Trek from Amjilosa to Gyabla (2730m)
We follow the river bank and pass through the dense forest of bamboo, rhododendron and fir. On the way, we enjoy the stunning natural scenery as well as the company of the waterfalls. Then we reach another Tibetan settlement of Gyabla. We will stay overnight at our campsite.

Day 09: Trek from Gyabla to Ghunsa (3430m)
From Gyabla, we descend down to the river valley. After walking some hours, we reach at the famous Sherpa Village of Ghunsa with hydroelectric plant. It is also the place where more than 20 prominent conservationists met their tragic end in the Helicopter crash. We will stay overnight at our campsite.

Day 10: Rest day
This day, we take a full rest for acclimatization with exploration of local areas. We make a short hike towards the Lapsan La through lush green forest. We will stay overnight at our campsite.

Day 11: Trek from Ghunsa to Kambachen (4040m)
After one day rest at Ghunsa, we continue our trek further north following the river bank. We walk through the high land trees and vegetation. We cross many suspension bridges over the river, and pass waterfalls and finally reach Kambachen. We will stay overnight at our campsite.

Day 12: Rest day
This day, we take a full rest for acclimatization with exploration of local areas. We explore the region to Nuphchu Khola valley. We will stay overnight at our campsite.

Day 13: Trek from Kambachen to Lhonak (2790m)
This day, we will climb through the rocky fields and boulders on the hillside along the river bank. We pass waterfall and cross the bridge to Ramtang. Then finally we descend down to the river and reach Lhonak. We will stay overnight at our campsite.

Day 14: Trek from Lhonak to Kanchenjunga North Base Camp (5140m)
This day, we will walk along the edge of the glacier in the ascending path on grassy trails. We see the enchanting view of the Chang Himal on our right. Finally, we reach the Kanchenjunga North Base Camp. We will stay overnight at our campsite.

Day 15: Trek back to Khambachen (4040m)
We retrace our path to Lhonak and continue down the valley to Ramtang. On the way we will get an opportunity to enjoy the panoramic views of Kanchenjunga, Gimmigela Chuli, Taple Shikhar, Kirat Chuli and many more. Finally we descend to Kambachen by evening. We will stay overnight at our campsite.

Day 16: Trek from Khambachen to Ghunsa (3430m)
Today, we will retrace our path back to Ghunsa. We will stay overnight at our campsite.

Day 17: Trek from Ghunsa to Sele Le (4685m)
Today, we walk up in the steep paths from Ghunsa to Sele Le. After sometime, we reach Ghunsa village and then continue uphill through the dense forest of moss, juniper and rhododendron. We will stay overnight at our campsite.

Day 18: Trek from Sele Le to Tseram (3870m)
Today, we climb uphill enjoying the exciting views of Jannu Himal. This day, we pass several passes like the Sinion La, the Mirgin La and theSinelapche La. From the passes, we see the fantastic view of theHimalayas. Finally we reach at Tseram. We will stay overnight at our campsite.

Day 19: Trek from Tseram to Ramche (4360m)
This day, we ascend the hill passing the snout of the Yalung Glacier. Then, we explore the valley.

Day 20: Trek from Ramche to Tseram (3870m)
Today, we retrace our route to Tseram. Mostly, we walk downhill today.

Day 21: Trek from Tseram to Yamphudin (1690m)
Today also we walk in the descending path. We descend down to Yamphudin, a village inhabited by different ethnic groups including Sherpas, Limbus, Rais, and Gurungs.

Day 22: Trek from Yamphudin to Anpan
This day, at first we follow the Kabeli Khola. And after some time, we ascend through the cardamom forest; pass by a few villages. And finally, we descend further to Anpan.

Day 23: Trek from Anpan to Taplejung
This day, we head to Taplejung. We visit the Taplejung bazaar and stay night there.

Day 24: Trek from Taplejung to Suketar (2400m)
From Taplejung, we return back to Sukhetar. After walking uphill sometimes, we reach the STOL airstrip of Sukhetar.

Day 25: Flight from Suketar to Biratnagar and again flight toKathmandu
In the morning, you take flight to Biratnagar. And then, in the afternoon, you take the flight to Kathmandu.

Day 26: Final Departure from Kathmandu
Himalayan High Spirits Adventures representative will accompany you to the airport to catch your returning flight.
